Question by polly: What do toddlers really learn in preschool? How important is it to have them start preschool before 3 yrs old?
I can’t afford preschool for my almost 2 year old son unless I stay on the welfare to work program which is a huge hassle to stay in as there is so much paperwork involved. The closest head start to my house doesn’t start until the child is 2 years 9 months. So my dilemna is what to do with my son until then. How crucial is preschool before they turn 3?

She is turning 4 in April and I’m wondering about preschool. She has never been in any kind of day care & hasn’t been exposed to babysitting much. I’m worried about putting her in preschool, but don’t want her to be behind when school starts. I also know she could use the social interaction but am afraid preschool will be too much for her since she isn’t use to being away from home that much. Any thoughts/suggestions from other mothers of preschoolers?

And SPECIFICALLY how much time in the classroom and how much time hands on with stuff, and when does the money come and overall how long is the process (or how long is all of the boring stuff?)

I just want to know becuz my boyfriends mom think were to young to be in love and to be thinkin way over our heads. But ma man said he loves me and wants to start a family with me in the future and stuff do you think were too young to be thinking like that

I am 18 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I lost 7 lbs and have only gained 2 lbs total so far.

I am wearing maternity pants since my belly feels bloated, but I can’t wear maternity shirts yet. Right now it just looks like I have a small pouch that no one really notices.

When did you have to start wearing maternity shirts? I feel fat when I wear my regular shirts so I am covering up with sweaters!

I am 9 weeks 3 days. I suppose it is bloating and my widening body (lol). But I find my regular clothes to be a bit too snug for comfort. When did most of you gals have to start wearing maternity clothing?

I am almost 10 weeks pregnant and my pants are getting a little tight. This is my second pregnancy. Is this normal this early on? I didnt start wearing maternity pants until I was 16 weeks last pregnancy. Any advice will be appreciated! : )
