I want to take my son out of state. I went to see a lawyer yesterday, he told me to immediately file for custody and then leave with the child. I want to know where to go? Court house? Is it just a form or does it have to open a case? Even if I’m not married to the father? I know I’ll have to come back up for court. THe problem is that I have no family here, not one person and no job, I’m a full time nursing student. So I wouldn’t have anywhere else to go.

Perhaps what is most important to keep in mind, at the outset, is that no two parents are alike. Likewise, no two children are alike. And everyoneâs situation and circumstances are different. What may…

Raising a kindergarten child is not just about sending them off to school and hoping that the school system works. Parents need to take an active roll with their childâs education and be willing to back up the kindergarten teacher with extra learning at home when school is out. And this is why it is imperative that parents find kindergarten activities for children that will help them continue to learn an extra hour every day.
The kindergarten activities do not need to be complex. In fact, they should be tailored to your childâs interest in order to help you keep…

It’s a serious matter for me. My son’s father and I have tried working things out, several living arrangements including co-habitating as without actually being a couple but we cannot live peacefully together so we must live apart but we both still want to be apart of our son’s life. His father wants to arrange so that our son will be with his father one week, and I the other, and so on and so forth.
But this arrangement doesn’t seem right me, as if our son needs more stability… jumping around and trying to get used to two…

I have been divorced for over 7 years now. I am petitioning the court for more parenting time. All I want is equal time with my son. What should I say or present to the court? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
