I’m agonizing over whether and which kindergarten is best for my little girl. Are there alternatives to sending a child to kindergarten to ensure that she gets a good start for school?
I have a very flexible job for all but two days a week (I’m a university professor), however I don’t feel competent to take on the teaching role at this level.
My daughter also lives in a bi-lingual household, if that makes any difference to suggestions.
My little girl will be off to kindergarten this fall. Can someone give me an idea of what the schools expect kids to know before starting school? Thanks

Hy husband, who is currently stationed in Germany, and I are going through a divorce. My husband now has a new girlfriend (has had for a long time now) who apparently has a “problem” with him having a child. He has expressed interest to me in signing away his rights to his daughter. He says that it is “too much to bear” being so far away from our little girl and that he would “never get to see her anyway”. By the way, that is code for “I want to be 22 without a kid and without a child support…

Back in January I had a little girl and i was tricked into signing an adoption paper. At the time we were confused about waht to do. We were forced to go to the streets and nither one of us wanted to put Kierra through that. She will be 6months this month and we are now fully aware of what his sister has done to us so that she could get our daughter.
I am just wondering if it is always wrong to discipline other people’s kid. My boyfriend has a 6 year old daughter from previous relationship. This girl has absolutely no manners, and she talks like a truck driver. The other day, she said something (The B word), (not to me, but to describe one of her playmate.) I was shocked, and I talked to my boyfriend wanting him to discipline his child. He told me, “What do you expect, she’s half trailer trash (that is what he calls his ex wife)” Should I say something?
