I was on parental leave with my son when he was 6 months.We hung out and I played guitar and sang for him everyday.

A woman i employ is pregnant. She is about to go on maternity leave on my dime. How do i get out of this unfair deal?
If i could get my way i wouldn’t even keep her under my employ. Can i just fire her without giving any reason?

Kelvin Thomson, Member for Wills, states that the 2009 Budget handed down by Treasurer Wayne Swan builds on the objective of restoring confidence and preserving jobs, with targeted infrastructure spending, while also delivering economic justice, with a paid parental leave scheme and a substantial increase in pension payments. i needed to take some time off work due to no childcare its 1 day here and there the 1st day being this sat. i did ask a while ago but my manager didnt ask my area manager till today and has declined 3 days out of 4. 2 due to being such short notice and the other because some1 else has leave. i wanted to take it as holiday so it is paid rather than un payed parental leave. but since they have declined my holiday they have also declined my un payded parental leave. can they do this…

THE Government will fund paid parental leave from January 2011, but it will be means tested.
