In the 1960s we frequently visited lodges and resorts in the U.S. (one in Canada) where there were a bunch of log cabins and a main lodge. There was a “meal plan” at the lodge where everyone gathered in the main lodge for their breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner and this was part of the weekly price. There were also a lot of activities for the kids and entire family. Are these old-style lodges and resorts still in existence, and if so, where? Have you been to one recently?
