I need to know what the kindergarten entry birthday cutoff of each of the United States was in the 1950′s and 1960′s and, if a birthday cutoff changed in that time period, what the change was and when it occurred.
Any ideas for where I might find this information?

My child misses the cutoff age in California by 1 month. She is very advanced. She is only 3 1/2 but already knows how to write all her letters and numbers and how to write simple words. I would like to try to get her in kindergarten early. Should I? If so, is there a test she could take? Can you find me a website in California to go to to view the test?

the limit is 200. can i somehow push it? my weekly pay is approximately 218. my next option is to enroll in the health insurance provided by my college and the state, and it costs 660 quarterly.

I have a gifted 4 year old who will be 5 on October 19th 2007. The cutoff in Massachusetts is Sept 1. He is already in his second year of preschool and I’m afraid a third year would be counterproductive to his future attitude toward learning. He is already bored. The principal and superintendant’s office rarely allow early entrance to kindergarten but they have done is a few times over the years. Has anyone successfully fought the system? What was the determining factor? Thanks.
