There are different causes of bed wetting, it is not just something your child would do to get into your nerves. These are night time accidents that could happen even with the best potty trained children. Some would say that children would outgrow bed wetting, but there are some parents who are anxious to help their children get over with them. Bed wetting could interfere with your childâs social activities like attending slumber parties and camps. Aside from interfering with social activities, it could also affect the childâs confidence and esteem. Within the age of five years old, about 20%…

As a grandparent, it can be quite tempting to view your role as that of being an additional parent to the child and behave towards them in a similar way to how you behaved towards their parent, your child. To some extent there is a lot of merit in this. There is no such thing as too much intelligent guidance for a child at any stage of their life. It is important to realize, though, that any child can only have a maximum of two parents, and any blurring of roles will be unhelpful. There is no rule, though, which…

When one of my friends went mad over re-arranging his pre-school sonâs toy room, I was surprised. I asked her, âWhat is such a big problem in arranging the toy room?â The answer she gave me I felt was applicable to all our childrenâs rooms these days. She told me, âThe room was literally packed to the brim with different toys and if you ask me what does my sweetie plays with, I would say she plays just with a baby doll that I made for her at home!â Then what so many toys are for? Well, todayâs parents do…

Last night I was reading a cute little book about penguins to my 5 and 7 year old daughters. It was a typical kids book right up to the last page where it suddenly changed to global warming propaganda. Why does the left feel the need to indoctrinate kids at such an early age? Why do they feel that such small children need to be worrying about such big issues?
For those of you that will say this is not fearmongering, I would like to add in the early 70’s when I was in grade school I remember having…

The health benefits that a baby gets from breastfeeding are crucial to a child’s development. So the question remains, is breastfeeding for you? Mother’s milk contains the most perfect optimal mixture of antibodies and nutrients that a child needs for their growing and developing bodies while enabling it to keep pace with the changing nutritional needs of the child. While formula has come a long way and very nutritional it has yet been able to duplicate or replace what mother’s milk gives to the child.
Breastfeeding is natural, it is by far the most nutritional but breastfeeding is also a…
